About Diesel
Based in Molvena in northern Italy, Diesel was originally created in 1978 to create innovative clothing designs for young people, particularly jeans. Founder Renzo Rosso wanted the company to take chances and he surrounded himself with creative, talented people who, like himself, rejected the slavish trend following typical of the fashion industry. Nice watch, but too bulky for womens long sleeves.
Nice leather band, good visability [with or without the "backlight"], better in person than in the pictures. I really did like this watch (even if it did make me miss having an alarm and timer like my previous watches had), but I just felt like I was wearing a super hero's wrist guard because it was so bulky. It wasn't heavy though. I didn't notice any difference from regular digital watches as far as weight on my wrist goes. It's just big from the style (the works behind the clock and the wrapping band). Other cuff watches for women have the same complaints, so I decided a cuff watch is not for me unless I were to wear short sleeves or sleeveless shirts all the time. That's not possible. So I returned this watch and bought a slim sport watch instead. This watch also has a clapse that's hard to figure out if you've never seen one before. It's a hinge you have to snap oven first before you attach the other end of the band to it. I noticed Nike's cuff watches for women has the same style fasteners. This makes it really easy to take the watch off and put it on. And even with a really small wrist, the smallest hole fit just right. That was my biggest worry. Still, not the only worry. I'm better off with small watches.
